The Information Center of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in Accra provides information about study and research opportunities in Germany and about scholarships for postgraduates who intend to further their studies at a German institution of higher education. Ghanaians and other West Africans are welcome to pay the Information Center a visit to get face-to-face advice and free information material on studying in Germany. The Information Center can be contacted also via email or through the center’s website, which provides up-to-date information on coming events and scholarship programmes, among others.
German universities offer a vast variety of International Degree Courses, which are taught either entirely or predominantly in English and lead to internationally recognised Bachelor, Master or PhD degrees. These high-quality academic courses, which usually attract no or very moderate tuition fees, have proved tremendously popular with international students and made Germany the third most popular destination worldwide for studying abroad.
For more information on study and research in Germany or on the DAAD scholarship programmes, please join one of their introductory sessions every first Thursday of the month at 4 pm prompt at the Goethe Institute in Cantonments, next to NAFTI. Please note that participation at one of the sessions is mandatory before coming for personal consultation. If you have admission to a German University already or you are a scholarship holder you can come to the consultation hours directly.
