From the airport, follow the Liberation Road up to Ako Adjei Interchange. Straight across the interchange is North Ridge. All the three Embassy buildings are located on your right hand. The Chancery is located opposite Accra High School.

Unfortunatly, access to the Embassy is not disabled-friendly. However the individual sections are always ready to help you have easy access to the premises.

From the airport, follow the Liberation Road up to Ako Adjei Interchange. Straight across the interchange is North Ridge. All the three Embassy buildings are located on your right hand.

The Embassy's main building/Chancery is located opposite Accra High School. From here turn right into Govan Mbeki Road, then left into Sam Nujoma Road, then again right into Sam Nujoma Close. The Legal and Consular/Visa-Section is located in front of you, at the end of Sam Nujoma Close.

Unfortunatly, access to the Embassy is not disabled-friendly. However the individual sections are always ready to help you have easy access to the premises.

Visa section: Monday to Friday: 7.00am to 11.00am (only with appointment)

Please note that visa applications can only be accepted with appointment that has to be booked on the website in advance. There is no Walk-in option available. You find further information here.

Passport section: Applications from Monday to Thursday: 9.00am to 10.30am (only with appointment)
German Passport collection from Monday to Friday: 8.30am to 1.00pm (no appointment)

Consular section: Monday to Friday: 8.30am to 11.00am (partly with appointment)

With the Embassy main building on your left, turn right into Examination Road and follow the road which turns left eventually at the West African Examination Council. You will find the regional medical office on your right hand.

Outside office hours, the Embassy can be reached in cases when a German national is in an emergency situation by calling

the emergency number +233 24 432 4889

as follows:

Mondays to Thursdays: 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Fridays: 13:00 hrs to 24:00 hrs

Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays: 08:00 hrs to 24:00 hrs

Visa enquiries will not be answered at this number.

The German Embassy will be closed on below listed public holidays.

The Embassy will NOT close on the Monday following the week-end should the public holiday fall on a Saturday or Sunday.
