  • you cannot take along bags or baggage
  • your must deposit your mobile telephone at the first entrance
  • you need a visitor’s card, which you receive from the guards when the previous conditions are fulfilled.

From the airport, follow the Liberation Road up to Ako Adjei Interchange. Straight across the interchange is North Ridge. All the three Embassy buildings are located on your right hand. The Chancery is located opposite Accra High School.

Unfortunatly, access to the Embassy is not disabled-friendly. However the individual sections are always ready to help you have easy access to the premises.

The Embassy's main building/Chancery is located opposite Accra High School. From here turn right into Govan Mbeki Road, then left into Sam Nujoma Road, then again right into Sam Nujoma Close. The Legal and Consular/Visa-Section is located in front of you, at the end of Sam Nujoma Close.

Outside office hours, the Embassy can be reached in cases when a German national is in an emergency situation by calling

the emergency number +233 24 432 4889

as follows:

Mondays to Thursdays: 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Fridays: 13:00 hrs to 24:00 hrs

Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays: 08:00 hrs to 24:00 hrs

Visa enquiries will not be answered at this number.

Description

Certification of documents for study purposes

For the purpose of studying in the Federal Republic of Germany, the Embassy certifies copies of School Certificates free of charge.

An appointment is needed to submit the documents for certification.

You are however required to have prior consultation with the DAAD Information Centre Accra for orientation on your study objectives. The DAAD would then issue you with a confirmation note to be presented at the Embassy.

Kind note that your documents would not be considered for certification without the confirmation note from the DAAD.

The certification process takes five working days.
