Status inquiries received within the first 3 months after receipt of all documents supporting the application will not be answered.

In addition, information about the visa porcess may only be given to the applicants themselves. For inquires from third parties, a power of attorney document issued to the authorized representative and signed by the applicant/person granting the power of attorney is required.

General information: Once the complete documents have been received, they will be sent to Germany, as the responsible immigration authority must be involved in the process. The embassy can only carry out the final review and make a decision once the feedback has been received. As a rule, the processing time takes several months. It can take much longer, if the embassy or the aliens authority decides to have a document verification done. The applicant will be informed about this process.

The embassy has no influence on the processing times in Germany and therefore asks that you refrain from making inquiries about the status.
